About this product
Follow the curve instead of fighting it.
Flexible PVC track you shape to your own bay, arch or corner on site, then screw to the ceiling in one continuous run.
A curved run is the one thing a rigid pole cannot do. This track is flexible PVC, so you bend it to your own curve by hand and screw it up in a single continuous length.
Because there is no join at the corner, the runners glide the whole way round. That is the difference between a curtain that pulls smoothly and one that snags in the same spot every day.
You shape it yourself, on site, against the actual bay. Nothing has to be measured, sent away and pre-bent at a factory, so there is no lead time and no risk of a curve that does not match the room.
It is sold by the metre and cut to your length. Measure around the curve rather than across it, order that many metres, and you get one piece.
PVC does not rust, so the same curved track works for a shower rail or a bathroom window as well as a bay in the living room.
The standard answer to a curved window is to give up on the curve. You buy two straight poles, join them with an angle bracket, and accept that the curtain will catch at the join for as long as you own it. It works, in the sense that the curtains hang, but you notice it every single day.
This track takes the other approach. It is flexible PVC, so you bend it to the shape of your own window with your hands, on site, and fix it to the ceiling as one unbroken run. The runners travel through the curve because there is nothing there to stop them.
Shaping it yourself matters more than it first appears. Bay windows are rarely the neat angles a catalogue assumes, and a pre-bent metal track made to a drawing has to match the room exactly or it looks wrong. A track you bend against the actual ceiling matches by definition.
[object Object]
Fitting is ordinary DIY. Mark your line following the curve, drill, and screw the track up at regular spacings, keeping them closer together through the tightest part of the bend so the shape holds. Then thread the runners on and hang the curtain.
Still deciding?
Not sure yet? That is fine.
This track is cut to the length you order, so it counts as made to your specification. That means the 14-day change-of-mind cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 does not apply to it. Your rights if something is wrong with it are untouched, and we would rather answer a question now than have you order the wrong length.
If it turns up faulty, damaged or not as described, that is on us. The Consumer Rights Act 2015 covers you, we pay the return postage, and you can have a repair, a replacement or your money back. Read the full detail on our refunds and returns page, or ask us anything before you order, including how to measure.

The complete guide
Fitting a curved curtain track
5 min readThe Curtain Track Company
Why a curved curtain track beats two straight poles
Unlike a straight track, a curved curtain track follows the contours of the room. That sounds obvious, but it is the whole point: bay windows, bowed windows and arched openings are curved, and hanging a straight pole across them either blocks the shape or leaves gaps at the edges where light and draughts get in.
A continuous curved run closes those gaps and lets one curtain cover the whole opening.
Bend it yourself, on site
There are two ways to get a curved track. One is to measure your window, send the measurements away, and have a metal track pre-bent to match. That works, but it costs more, it takes time, and it only fits if your measurements were right.
The other is a track that bends by hand. This one is flexible PVC. You hold it up against the actual ceiling, curve it to the actual shape of the actual bay, and screw it up. There is nothing to measure into a form, nothing to wait for, and no way for the curve to disagree with the room.
You do not need heat, a bending machine, or any special tool.
Getting a smooth pull
The reason a joined track catches is that the runner has to cross a seam. Even a well-fitted join leaves a small step, and the runner finds it every time.
With one continuous length there is no seam to cross. Two things help keep the pull smooth:
Keep the bend gradual where you can. A sweeping curve runs better than a tight kink, so give the curve as much length as the space allows.
Space your fixings closer together through the bend. The straight sections can take a wider spacing, but the curve needs more support to hold its shape and keep the channel from flexing as the curtain passes.
Measuring a curve
Measure along the path the curtain will actually travel, following the curve, rather than measuring the straight-line distance from one end of the bay to the other. Those two numbers are different, and the straight-line one is always short.
A length of string laid along the intended route, then measured flat, is the easiest method. Add a little at each end if you want the curtain to stack back clear of the glass.
What it suits
Bay and bow windows, arched openings, corner windows where two walls meet, curved shower spaces, and room dividers that turn a corner partway along their run. Because PVC does not corrode, the bathroom and shower uses are as practical as the living-room ones.
For very heavy blackout drapes, this is a PVC track rather than a steel one, so bring the ceiling fixings closer together and let the weight spread along the run.
Curved Curtain Track (SKU ceiling-curtain-track) sold by The Curtain Track Company at
ceilingcurtaintrack.co.uk. A flexible white PVC ceiling-mounted curtain track used as a curved
curtain track, curved ceiling curtain track or ceiling mounted curved curtain track. Price is
GBP 6 per running metre, cut to the length ordered, no minimum order. Weight 0.5 kg per metre.
The PVC is bent to shape by hand on site rather than pre-bent at a factory, so it fits curves,
arcs, bows, L-shapes and trapezoids without special tools, heat or a bending machine, and it
needs no lead time or measuring service. Because the run is continuous with no join at the
corner, curtain runners pass through the curve without catching. Fixes to the ceiling with the supplied brackets,
screws and anchors; each metre also includes 3 mounting brackets, 8 curtain rollers, end caps
and curtain hooks. Uses: bay windows, bowed windows, arched openings,
corner runs, curved shower spaces and room dividers that change direction. PVC does not rust,
so it suits bathrooms and shower spaces. For very heavy blackout curtains, space ceiling
fixings more closely. Measure around the curve, not across it. Delivery is UK wide, free over
GBP 75, otherwise GBP 25, in 5 to 7 days after 24 to 48 hours handling. Cut to the customer's
length, so it is made to specification and the 14-day change-of-mind cancellation right does
not apply; faulty-goods rights are unaffected.
